Patrick Moore should cook and eat errant dogs

Don't worry. There will be more variety on C4 when Big Fucking Brother starts again.

I think you forgot to add the tag/label unchallenged misogyny.

Moore's comment about the amount of unmitigated crap on TV is valid - his reasoning behind it is not. I sense the real reason behind it all is money - it is cheaper to run off a thousand and one fiercely generic cookery programmes than it is to put together a decent drama. And when you have an expensive but decent drama, like Doctor Who, those producing it will want it to appeal to as many people as possible - both male and female - to maximise the potential revenue.

And the fact that I just used the phrase "maximise the potential revenue" means I really, really need a new job.

Oh, hang on a mo...

The news in the story is the reasoning. If Moore hadn't blamed women, then there would be no story; the fact that telly schedules are full of inane rubbish is not news at all. Although the Moai's amusing list of programmes would indicate otherwise otherwise, because of the strong angle of the Moore story, the post's title makes it look like the author supports Moore's reasoning, rather than the hackneyed truism that telly is shit. To ignore the main (ahem) thrust of the news story cited therefore earns the post the tag unchallenged misogyny.

"I love you", has been replaced as the most common phrase used between couples with: "what's this shit you're watching".
