Quote of the Day - On the Lockerbie Bombing

From John Mosey, whose daughter died in the Lockerbie bombing:
"What we are forgetting is there were 270 people on that plane who have been killed and we have had no proper inquiry, no serious answers."
Quite. Because we still don't really know what happened to Pan Am Flight 103. We don't know whether al-Megrahi was actually guilty or not, and we don't know - despite the release of the Lockerbie files - why the government chose to release the man convicted of all those murders. This whole issue - this murder of 270 people - is still a mystery without any sort of a conclusive answer.

I can remember the news reports about the demise of Pan Am Flight 103 back in 1988, despite being just 9 at the time. I'm now 30 years old. Surely, after over two decades, it isn't too much to ask for some genuine transparency and some genuine clarity about what happened on that terrible day? And what's happened in relation to this case, across those two decades and up until the present day?

This is the wrongness of today in stark relief.
