Bye Bye Palin
Good news from the others side of the Atlantic, where slightly mentalist politician and former Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has resigned as Governor. Whether this means she will actually be out of politics for good remains to be seen, but we can but hope.
Assuming it is now safe to write Palin's political obituary, it has to be said that she was a disaster. Nothing to do with her gender, but rather her sub-Bush Junior political agenda and her inability to act like a credible politician. She was a gamble as McCain's Vice-Presidential pick, and a gamble that really didn't pay off. She won over the hearts of many right-wingers by being able to read from a tele-prompter and by being better looking than John McCain - neither are great achievements - and looking at her career overall we see someone who failed as a Vice-Presidential candidate and couldn't even complete her term as governor of Alaska.
Still, it there is someone who really loses out in this saga then it is Obama. Even if Palin does run for President in 2012, she's now going to struggle to get the nomination what with her her inability to finish her term as governor. And surely Palin for President in 2012 was exactly what Obama wanted - a political rival so inept that he might actually have made a sweep of all the states in the Union.

Yup, she was a "disaster" alright. I guess that's why she drew a crowd of 70,000 to hear her during the campaign in Ocala, Florida.
All those people that came out for her rallies, must have thought she was a "disaster."
Ah, bless you Eric. And how many people turned out to see Obama? On the night he was elected President?
Palin was a disaster for the McCain ticket and failed to finish her term as Governor. Hardly a roaring success, eh? Even Jimmy Carter managed to serve the full terms he was elected to. Unlike Palin...
Face it, she was briefly popular owing to her novelty in the Presidential Election. Aside from that her political career is a catalogue of failure.
Fuck me, is Eric Dondero still around, still shilling for Republicans?
Good to see there's some continuity in this topsy-turvy world of ours.

I've only just come across Eric. He has a wonderful blog that blurs the line between blogging and satire. He clearly isn't really a Libertarian - it reads as if he is slavishly Republican.
