150 years in prison probably means life...
Quote of the day on Madoff, who is now looking at a frankly daunting 150 year sentence:
"May your jail cell be your coffin," Michael Schwartz told Madoff.Michael, he's 71. His sentence will run until he is 221. Unless Madoff is a lot more robust than every human being who has ever lived before, and his prison diet and exercise programme are pretty fucking extraordinary, chances are you're going to get your wish.

Probably?
Probably. I'd place a bet on him not being alive at the end of his sentence. Hell, I'd place a bet on me not being alive at the end of his sentence.
Wonderfully meaningless, isn't it? 150 years. He'll be up for parole in 75.
A sentence of at least 20 years in the Supermax Prison Facility in Florence, Colorado would've been more appropriate.
Better to be safe than sorry, though.
