A gentle reminder...

...to charities everywhere - if you employ aggressive, pushy chuggers to hassle me as I walk down the street minding my own business, you will never, ever get a penny from me. Ever.

I saw a chugger who simply wouldn't take no for an answer. A passer-by, unwilling to be rude, took ages to shake her off, and I saw she was about to accost me next. I too didn't want to just tell her to fuck off, so I hit upon the idea of pretending to be Polish and repeatedly saying "I no understanding you". It worked, as well.

I used to have a joyful job of looking after a string of buildings on Victoria Street, London SW1. This involved a lot of walking between the buildings, in my leave.me.alone.I'm.a.fucking.bureaucrat uniform of chalk stripe suit and tie. Several times a day I was accosted by the same morons. The SAME morons (sorry to shout). How I didn't punch one I'll never know. Still furious about it, as you've probably gathered.

I always find that saying " if you continue toharrass me or I see you harrassing anyone else after this warning then I WILL report you to the police , as it is an offence for you to a) rattle your tin at passersby b) impotune for a donation from anyone C) address anyone whilst collecting moneys for your chodsen benevolent fund d) fail to clearly display your registered charity number and badge with photo identity e) be less than 18 yrs old and you should bear in mind that any such report of misconduct against you bears directly upon your charity which may have its licence to collect removed from it should a complaint be upheld or multiple complaints be made against it. doing any of the afore listed actions is tantamount to begging and as such is expressly disallowed for charitable collectors, it is also an offence for you not to have been informed of these rules before commencemenyt of your duties as a collector by the charity you are working for, ignorance of the law is nott innocence and your importuning passers by is per se admission that you have not been so instructed so you will automatically be chalking up two offences to list against the good name of your charity...you have been warned and do not for a moment believe that when I walk away I will not be somewhere nearby watching your every action with the attention that it so richly deserves and a cameraphone to record your criminal acts!...it usually shuts them up, but they do not like it, you can also quote the charities act at them for good measure...

WV= plate dn...lol very apt!
