(Not) Writing for LPUK
I do wonder how this is going down - rules and regulations for the LPUK blog. And the rules may eliminate many of the typical Libertarian bloggers:
Code of PracticeOf course, for those who don't obey, there are consequences. Ho hum.
1. Posts must not contain swear words
2. The basis of a post must not be a personal attack
3. A Member must not publish more than three posts in a day
4. Posts must focus on UK politics or Libertarian issues
I'm not going to be applying to write for the LPUK blog. Partly because I like swearing, partly because I am not above the occasional personal attack but mainly because I struggle to find inspiration for this blog most days. Every time I try to write for another website, I end up doing bugger all. If I ended up writing for a blog that is determined to limit the output, then - frankly - bugger all is going to be an optimistic view of what will happen.
And as for the rules? And the consequences? Fair enough. LPUK badly needs to become much more professional, and part of that process is managing their blog. It is censorship; but it is censorship on something they own. They aren't stopping people from saying what they want; they are just restricting the usage of their blog as the mouthpiece.
If you don't like the rules, don't contribute.

I myself think we should have had such a code from the begining. It may be called the Unnofficial blog, but it's still closely associated with us.
I know what you mean. People do take the views expressed on this unofficial blog as the party line. Plus, had the rules been in place from the outset, then we wouldn't have the slightly jarring imposition of them now.
1. Posts must not contain swear words
Fuck off, it's called free speech.
2. The basis of a post must not be a personal attack
Labour MPs are thieving useless cunts, prove otherwise.
3. A Member must not publish more than three posts in a day
Curtailment of freedom of speech to a draconian degree, including the right of reply.
4. Posts must focus on UK politics or Libertarian issues
So, the two are distinct or separate?
Actually, number 4 has already been proved to be true;
Chloe Smith, Conservative; 13,591
Thomas Burridge, Libertarian Party;
36
Do you need a pissing diagram?
Good post TNL
@rightwinggit
Your answer to point 2 isn't actually a personal attack is it. It's a general statement.
