On A Hung Parliament

Nick Robinson:
Already senior Labour and Tory figures are rehearsing what could turn out to be the major argument of tonight and tomorrow over who has the right to govern if there is a hung Parliament.
Well, if the exit polls are correct, and the Tories do as well as is being projected, then it would immensely self-destructive of the Labour party to claim they have the right to govern. It would be the very definition of self-defeating. The electorate would remember who won the most votes, who won the right to govern, and would judge Labour for claiming the right to govern when it was no longer their right to claim.

Voters never like a bad loser...
